Giorno 3 — Halifax → Hopewell Rocks - Fundy NP → Saint John (NB)
Breakfast. Departure for Hopewell Rocks - Fundy NP. Hopewell Rocks Park, in the Bay of Fundy, is one of Canada's most iconic natural wonders: this park is famous for its spectacular rock formations, sculpted over millennia by erosion caused by the highest tides in the world. At low tide, visitors can walk along the sea floor and explore these giant "flowerpot rocks" close up, so called because they resemble flower pots on account of the trees and vegetation growing on their tops. At high tide, those same rocks turn into small islands, creating a fascinating natural spectacle. The park offers scenic trails, viewpoints and the chance to enjoy a unique experience in contact with the power of nature. Continue to Saint John (NB). Upon arrival, there will be a panoramic tour of the city. Saint John is the oldest city in New Brunswick, a lively historic port facing the Bay of Fundy, famous for having the world's highest tides. It is here that the famous Reversing Falls phenomenon occurs, where the force of the tides reverses the flow of the Saint John River. The city preserves a charming historic centre with Victorian brick buildings, the picturesque covered City Market, the oldest in Canada, and a revitalised waterfront. The Bay of Fundy, with its coastal landscapes, rock formations and rich marine life, offers hikes and whale watching. A stop along the Atlantic coast, Saint John combines history, culture and extraordinary natural phenomena linked to the tides. Maritime and full of character, it is a fascinating base for discovering the beauties of the Bay of Fundy and Atlantic Canada. Lunch and dinner free. Available evening.
