Itinerary

Giorno 1 — Anchorage

Arrive at Anchorage. Transfer to the hotel on your own. Accommodation at the scheduled hotel (or similar). Lunch and dinner free. Gateway to the wild nature of Alaska, Anchorage rises between the waters of Cook Inlet and the snow-capped peaks of the Chugach Mountains, framed by a unique northern light. Though it is the state's largest city, it retains a frontier feel: from downtown you may spot moose crossing the streets and, on clear days, glimpse the profile of Denali, the highest peak in North America, on the horizon. Walking the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail leads between ocean and forest, while the museum devoted to native cultures tells the ancestral soul of this land. From here, excursions set out toward glaciers, fjords and boundless parks, with sightings of bears, whales and northern lights. Anchorage is the ideal starting point for Arctic adventure. Free time.

Treno

Giorno 2 — Anchorage → Denali

Free transfer to the train station. Travel by train from Anchorage to Denali in class Standard Rail. The Alaska Railroad train from Anchorage to Denali departs at 8:20 am and is scheduled to arrive at approximately 15.40. Arrival at Denali in the afternoon. Standard program includes standard rail car seating / Upgraded program included dome rail car seating. I arrive and transfer to the hotel with a shuttle bus. The rest of the day available. The huge Denali National Park is a vast world of tundra and taiga, glaciers, huge mountains and abundant wildlife, so that backcountry hiking is a wonderful experience, but it's undertaken by only a tiny fraction of visitors. Most travellers just want to see Mont Denali, so in In high summer, the visitor centre and the Park Highway becomes a stream of car, RVs, tour buses. We recommend taking advantage of your free time to enjoy a walk within the park or visit the Visitor Center, where you can learn more about the wildlife of Denali National Park, and take in the beauty of the surrounding landscape. Giorno 3 — Denali

Denali immediately conjures the image of Alaska's wilderness, dominated by the mountain of the same name which, at 6,190 metres, is the highest peak in North America. Denali National Park and Preserve protects a vast expanse of tundra, forests, glacial rivers and mountain ranges, home to grizzly bears, moose, caribou, wolves and Dall sheep. A single road runs through the heart of the park, and shuttle buses allow visitors to venture deep into the landscape, spotting wildlife in its natural habitat. Adventure seekers can enjoy hiking, scenic flights over the glaciers, white-water rafting and guided excursions, while on clear northern nights it is sometimes possible to admire the northern lights. An unmissable stop on any journey through the Far North, Denali offers an authentic and majestic encounter with untamed nature. Today depart on a narrated bus tour into Denali National Park. This tour is approx. 7-8 hours long and takes you approx. 53 - 62 miles into the park (depending on weather and road conditions, it may be shorter). Enjoy the pristine wilderness, and look for wildlife, such as bears, caribou, and moose, as well as views of mountain Denali. Accommodation at the scheduled hotel (or similar).

Treno

Giorno 4 — Denali → Anchorage

Transfer to the train station by hotel shuttle and departure aboard the Alaska Railroad to Anchorage. The train travels south through the Matanuska-Susitna Valley, with stops in Talkeetna and Wasilla. Arrival in Anchorage in the evening. Travel by train from Denali to Anchorage in class Standard Rail. Standard program includes standard rail car seating / Upgraded program included dome rail car seating. Transfer to the hotel on your own. Accommodation at the scheduled hotel (or similar).

Cancellation policies

Cancellation fees are calculated as a percentage of the total amount and are based on the date the cancellation is received at our offices:
At any time after confirmation: 10% * From 60 to 45 days before departure: 30% * From 44 to 31 days before departure: 60% * From 30 to 0 days before departure: 100%
Please check with our booking office if there are specific cancellation conditions for certain products or customized proposals. In case of discrepancies, the most restrictive cancellation policy will apply.

General payment schedule:
Deposit: A deposit of 10% of the total tour cost is required within 14 days of confirmation.
Tour balance: The remaining balance must be paid no later than 45 days before departure.

Notes

TRAVEL DOCUMENTS: Participants must ensure before departure that they have the necessary and valid documentation for entry into the countries visited during the tour.
MINIMUM AGE: 5 years old.
SMOKING: smoking is not allowed on buses and in hotels.
HOTEL, CHECK-OUT: The room must be vacated in the morning, by the time indicated by the hotel; the surcharge for late check-out is equal to an extra night.
HOTEL FINAL LIST: indicated in the travel documents.
HOTEL / ITINERARY, CHANGES: The organizing company reserves the right to modify the itinerary and/or the planned accommodations if required by unforeseen circumstances and if necessary for the safety and smooth continuation of the trip.
HOTEL, SECURITY DEPOSIT: at check-in, a personal credit card is required as a guarantee for any additional expenses. If the credit card is corporate, prior authorization is necessary. The amount blocked as a guarantee for any additional expenses varies depending on the hotel category. The release of the blocked amount occurs within 3-10 business days from the check-out date, and even longer if the bank supporting the credit card is not American. It is recommended to bring at least two credit cards with you.
HOTEL, SECURITY DEPOSIT: Upon check-in, a personal credit card is required as a guarantee for any additional expenses. If the credit card is corporate, prior authorization is necessary. The amount blocked as a guarantee for any extra expenses is approximately US$100 per day per room. The release of the amount may occur up to one month after check-out. It is recommended to bring at least two credit cards. If the deposit is paid in cash, it will be refunded at the time of check-out.
HOTEL, CHECK-IN: as a rule, rooms are assigned starting from 2-3 pm; any early check-in is at the hotel's discretion. The request for a guaranteed early assignment requires booking an extra night prior to arrival.
INTOLERANCES AND SPECIAL DIETARY REGIMES: food intolerances (allergies, celiac disease, etc.) and special dietary regimes (vegan, etc.) must be communicated at the time of booking. Special menus or treatments are not provided or guaranteed, but we will do our best to accommodate the needs of participants. Notifications made after arrival will not be taken into consideration.
INTOLERANCES AND SPECIAL DIETARY REGIMES: the guides cook on a two-burner stove and it is not possible to take into consideration food intolerances (allergies, celiac disease, etc.) and special dietary regimes (vegan, etc.).
TIPS: not included, but practically mandatory, unless there are serious shortcomings. It is recommended: for the tour guide $5-$6 per day per person, for the driver $4-$5 per day per person.
MEALS: not included unless specified.
PUNCTUALITY: we recommend respecting the scheduled times. No refunds are provided for services missed due to customer delays.
REFUNDS: There are no refunds for parts of the tour or excursions not carried out due to force majeure; in any case, no refund is due to the customer who decides to interrupt the trip or stay.
HEALTH / VACCINATIONS: Participants must be aware of the itinerary and their own physical ability to handle it; it is recommended to always check the Viaggiare Sicuri website for the latest updates on necessary and recommended vaccinations and prophylaxis.
