Giorno 2 — Mombasa → Tsavo East National Park
Breakfast. Early in the morning departure for Tsavo East National Park. Tsavo National Park is a protected natural area in Kenya. With a total area of 21,812 km², Tsavo is the largest national park in the country and takes its name from the Tsavo River, which runs through it. The park was opened in April 1948 and in May of the same year it was divided, for administrative purposes, into Tsavo East National Park and Tsavo West National Park. The two parks are divided by the road from Nairobi to Mombasa. Both are administered by the Kenya Wildlife Service. Due to its exceptional biodiversity, the park is considered one of the most valuable nature reserves in the world. Tsavo East, in south-eastern Kenya, is characterised by vast savannah plains crossed by the Galana River, formed by the confluence of the Tsavo and Athi rivers. The park is home to a rich variety of African wildlife, including elephants, lions and giraffes. The most significant feature is the 190 km long Yatta Plateau, the largest lava field in the world, created by the activity of the Ol Doinyo Sabuk volcano, which gives the landscape a unique and spectacular appearance. I arrive at the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, photo safari in the park. Return to the lodge in the evening. Dinner. Accommodation Voi Safari Lodge. The panoramic setting of the Voi Lodge offers spectacular views over the vast African savannah, and guests can enjoy open spaces and admire the breathtaking landscape directly from their room or from the lodge's panoramic restaurant.

Giorno 3 — Tsavo East National Park → Amboseli National Park
Early morning photosafari in the park. Return to the lodge for breakfast. Departure for Amboseli National Park. Photosafari along the route. I arrive at the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, photo safari in the park. Amboseli National Park covers an area of approximately 392 km² and is one of the most visited and iconic parks in East Africa. Characterised by vast expanses of savannah, swamps, lagoons and a landscape dominated by the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro, Amboseli is a place of great charm and fascinating landscape contrasts. The park is renowned for its wide variety of wildlife and is one of the best places in Africa to observe elephants in the wild. It is estimated that the park is home to one of the largest populations of African elephants. In addition to elephants, you can also spot buffalo, wildebeest, zebras, giraffes, lions, cheetahs, hippos and a wide range of birds. Furthermore, Amboseli is an important migration area for birds, which find refuge there during their migratory journey. The Amboseli reserve is also populated by several Masai tribes who live in harmony with the environment, offering visitors a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the life of this ancient African ethnic group. Return to the lodge in the evening. Dinner. Accommodation Amboseli Sopa Lodge.

Tsavo West is located in the African Rift Valley and is home to several extinct volcanoes, which contribute to the geological diversity of the region. One of the best known is the Chyulu Hills, a mountain range formed by ancient lava flows. The area surrounding the volcanoes is characterised by black volcanic rock, giving the landscape an unusual and fascinating appearance. I arrive at the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, photo safari in the park. Return to the lodge in the evening. Dinner. Accommodation Ngulia Safari Lodge.
