Itinerary
Giorno 1 — Honolulu
In the heart of the Pacific Ocean, the Cook Islands, or New Zealand Polynesia, are one of the last unspoilt paradises on Earth. The Cook Islands will captivate you and offer you a unique location for an unforgettable trip. These islands offer the perfect blend of Polynesian culture and scenic beauty. From pristine coral beaches and sparkling blue waters, effervescent sunsets that light up the evening sky, to the gentle caress of the trade winds rising over the palm trees that line the transparent lagoons, the Cook Islands embody everything you could imagine a tropical paradise to be. Add to this the charm of the locals - some of the friendliest and most hospitable people in the world - for an unforgettable holiday in one of the most romantic and remote places on earth.
Rarotonga is the hub of the Cook Islands. It has so much to see and do, yet remains unspoilt. There are no traffic lights, no McDonald's and no buildings taller than the tallest coconut tree. A circular island with a scenic road running around its entire perimeter, with a majestic volcanic peak on one side and the crystal-clear turquoise waters of its lagoon on the other. A true tropical paradise.

It is called Honolulu, but in reality we are talking about Waikiki, one of the most famous beaches in the world. The beach is bordered to the south by the Diamond Head promontory; it is worth driving up to the top of the crater of this extinct volcano for a beautiful panoramic view. The calm sea is ideal for surf lessons, where else? But there is more than just the beach. The aquarium is a destination for families; boutiques, restaurants line Kalakaua and Kuhio Avenue, in the Royal Hawaiian Center, at Waikiki Beach Walk, in the International Market Place and in the huge Ala Moana Shopping Center. After sunset, the nightlife begins with live music in many clubs. Less than half an hour's drive from Waikiki are Pearl Harbor, the Nuulani Pali Lookout viewpoint, and the beautiful Hanauma Bay in a semi-submerged crater. The superb beaches on the windward coast are not to be missed, especially Kailua, Waimanalo, and Lanikai. Following the Pali Highway, you leave the skyscrapers behind and enter another world, with some of the most spectacular views in the archipelago. In the distance, you will see the islet of Mokolii, nicknamed "the Chinese hat," on the turquoise sea. On the other side of the road is Kualoa Ranch, the valley that has served as a backdrop for famous films and TV series such as "Jurassic Park" and "Lost." From here, the road climbs up to the north coast, with some of the world's most famous surfing beaches. But even if you are not a surfer, do not miss the beautiful Waimea beach in the summer months.
