Giorno 2 — SeminYak → Lovina
Breakfast. Departure to Lovina. Beginning of visits. Tanah Lot, on the west coast of Bali, is probably the most famous and photographed temple on the island, and it is dedicated to the deity of the sea. Tanah Lot means land (Tanah) and sea (Lot), a name that is more than appropriate considering its spectacular location on top of an imposing rock overlooking the sea. The myths and legends associated with this sacred place are as fascinating as the temple itself. After the holy priest Danghyang Nirarta spent a night there, the population of Bali decided to build the temple in this location. It is said that there used to be a bridge connecting the temple to the mainland that was destroyed by the rough sea. Another interesting curiosity is that beneath Tanah Lot there is a cave with a magical spring. It is curious how the water from the spring is fresh despite the temple being surrounded by the salty water of the ocean. The journey continues towards Jatiluwih, where you can admire the beautiful terraced rice fields typical of the island's interior. Lunch at a restaurant. In the afternoon, the visit is completed. Ulun Danu Bratan is the most important Shivaite temple in Bali. It is located in the village of Bedugul on Lake Bratan, inside the caldera of an extinct volcano and at an altitude of about 1200 meters above sea level. The temple is dedicated to the water goddess Dewi Danu and, for this reason, it is located on the most important water reserve in the entire area. The beauty and great charm of this sacred place are two of the reasons why it is a must-visit destination in Bali. Lake Bratan is the water reserve that feeds the complex irrigation system of all the rice fields in the area; this system is called subak and, since 2012, it has been included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Continue to Lovina. Stop at Munduk per vedere le cascate nel mezzo della foresta tropicale. Visit the sacred hot springs of Air Panas Banjar located in the middle of the jungle in a beautiful tropical garden. The locals come here to enjoy a bath in the hot and sulphurous water. Upon arrival, accommodation in a hotel will be arranged. Dinner free.

Giorno 3 — Lovina → Candidasa
Breakfast. From Lovina, on the northern coast, today’s journey continues towards the southeastern coast. The first stop is the traditional market of Buleleng, rich in vegetables, fruits, and spices. Afterwards, continue to the temples of Pura Beji and Pura Meduwe Karang, dedicated to the gods who protect the rice plantations and the countryside from the dryness of the dry season. Proceeding southward into the mountainous region, arrival at the village of Kintamani (1,300 meters above sea level), where you can admire spectacular views of Mount Batur and the lake of the same name below. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, visit Bali’s largest and most sacred temple complex, the Mother Temple of Besakih. Dating back to the 11th century, the temple is located at an altitude of 1,000 meters on the slopes of the majestic Mount Agung (3,142 meters). The island’s most important religious ceremonies are always held at Besakih and may sometimes last for several days, attracting thousands of pilgrims from across Bali. On the way to Candidasa, pass through Putung, an area offering beautiful panoramic views. I will arrive at the hotel in the late afternoon. Dinner free.
