Giorno 2 — Yogyakarta → Prambanan → Borobudur → Yogyakarta
Breakfast. Breakfast at the hotel. Morning dedicated to the visit of the city of Yogyakarta. Visit the Sultan’s Palace, Kraton (closed on Mondays), a splendid example of traditional Javanese court architecture. Continue with a visit to the Prambanan Temple (main area closed on Mondays), a Hindu temple considered the most elegant temple in Java. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the Buddhist Temple of Borobudur** (closed on Mondays), located about 40 km from Yogyakarta. The massive stone stupa of Borobudur is one of the greatest ancient architectural monuments linked to the Mahayana tradition. Built between 750 and 850 AD, Borobudur predates Cambodia’s Angkor Wat by three centuries. Buried under volcanic ash and tropical vegetation, it was rediscovered only in 1815. It has recently been completely restored through an international effort under the auspices of UNESCO. Borobudur is truly a Mandala, a map of the cosmic universe and the human mind: a point of integration, union, and connection; and according to Buddhist philosophy, by making the pilgrimage upward, we will reach the precious “Nirvana.” Return to the hotel. Dinner at leisure and overnight stay in Yogyakarta.
Borobudur Note: access to the top of the temple is included; however, entry is subject to limited availability and may be denied at any time without prior notice or refund. I will return to the hotel in the late afternoon. Dinner free. Accommodation Harper Malioboro Yogyakarta.
Giorno 3 — Yogyakarta

Walking tour in the Kota Gede neighborhood where we will also visit a local house where a family handcrafts typical local sweets. We continue with a visit to the Prambanan temple, an Hindu temple considered the most elegant temple in Java. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, we enter a real house of a local craftsman, an authentic master who creates handmade Javanese masks used in traditional performances. With the master craftsman, we will learn the secrets of this centuries-old art. I will return to the hotel in the late afternoon. Dinner free. Accommodation Harper Malioboro Yogyakarta.

Breakfast. Airport transfer. Flight to Bali. Welcome upon arrival and transfer to the hotel. The rest of the day available. Accommodation Viva Dash Hotel Seminyak.
Giorno 5 — SeminYak
Breakfast. Departure from the hotel at 10:00. The morning is dedicated to relaxing while visiting the finest beaches of Uluwatu, in the south of Bali, considered a mecca for surfers from all over the world. Until a few years ago, Uluwatu was inaccessible. The area is characterised by sheer cliffs, often impossible to reach. Nevertheless, this is a stunning area that jealously conceals some extraordinary beaches. During this excursion you will visit 2 beautiful beaches where you can relax (parasols and sun loungers not included). Lunch not included. Afterwards, you will admire the traditional Kecak Dance, also known as the Monkey Dance, which tells the epic poem of the Ramayana. Dozens of dancers, with the rhythmic "sound" of their jaws, represent the army of monkeys that protected Queen Shinta. Return to Seminyak and dinner not included. Accommodation Viva Dash Hotel Seminyak.

Giorno 6 — SeminYak → Ubud
Breakfast. Check-out and departure heading north. The first stop of the journey is Taman Ayun, a magnificent temple located in the village of Mengwi. This temple complex, built in the 17th century, is surrounded by a moat symbolising the sea and features a series of pagodas (meru) of differing heights. You then reach the evocative temple of Ulun Danu Beratan, set on the shores of Lake Bratan. This temple, dedicated to the water goddess Dewi Danu, appears to float on the lake when the water level is high. Lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, you visit the Leke Leke waterfall. This hidden corner of paradise is reached via a short walk through the jungle. The waterfall, which plunges into a natural pool surrounded by lush vegetation, offers the perfect opportunity for a refreshing dip or simply to relax to the sound of the flowing water. Transfer to the hotel in Ubud. Accommodation The Evitel Resort Ubud.
Giorno 7 — Ubud
Breakfast. Departure towards eastern Bali, in the direction of Sidemen, a wonderful and authentic rural area. After approximately an hour's transfer through villages and rice paddies, you will enjoy a pleasant walk of about 1 hour among the peaceful rice fields (we suggest bringing a bottle of cool water with you to refresh yourself along the way). You will meet the farmers working in the fields and gain an understanding of their daily life. You will see exotic plantations, learn about the Subak irrigation system, protected by UNESCO, and, weather permitting, you may even enjoy an impressive view of the Agung volcano. At the end of the walk, you will take part in various short workshops with the local people: a brief traditional cookery lesson, the hand-making of the typical Balinese offerings with palm leaves, a tasting of the traditional "Arak" liquor, writing in Balinese Sanskrit and the preparation of the famous herbal drink "Jamu". After the activities, you will enjoy an excellent traditional Balinese lunch previously cooked by ourselves. Afterwards, you continue on to one of Bali's most beautiful temples, the Besakih Mother Temple. Located at around 1,000 metres above sea level, on the slopes of the largest and most active volcano Gunung Agung (3,142 metres), the Besakih Temple, dating back to the 11th century, is the setting for the island's largest and most important events. Return to the hotel. Accommodation The Evitel Resort Ubud.
