Itinerary

Giorno 1 — Città del Capo

Welcome upon arrival and transfer to the hotel. Free time for lunch (not included) and for a walk. Located in the city center, Cape Town Lodge Hotel offers a rooftop terrace with a swimming pool, a bar, and a fitness center, and is less than 5 km from Table Mountain and the renowned V&A Waterfront area. Overlooking Table Mountain, Lion's Head, Signal Hill, and the harbor, the rooms at Cape Town Lodge Hotel are located on the upper floors. The renowned restaurant, The Famous Butchers Grill, offers top-quality South African steaks accompanied by live music and a selection of local wines, in an environment characterized by sculptures and walls adorned with photos depicting the ancient Cape Town. At 8:00 PM, a 3-course dinner at the renowned restaurant in the hotel: The Famous Butcher's Grill (drinks not included). Accommodation Cape Town Lodge.

Breakfast. Departure for Winelands at 10.00. South Africa has long been a well-established producer of quality wines, particularly in the Winelands region. The plateau, which stretches inland from Cape Town and rises gradually in altitude, is a renowned wine-growing region, considered by experts to be the best in South Africa. The magnificent mountain ranges surrounding Stellenbosch and Franschhoek help to create an ideal microclimate for the vineyards. During the tour, enjoy a scenic stop at Big Bay, a cheese and wine tasting at Fairview Wine Estate, a peaceful packed lunch, a wine tasting at Boschendal Wine Estate (with a picnic basket and blanket), and a chocolate and wine pairing at Lanzerac Wine Estate (all other drinks excluded). Giorno 3 — Città del Capo

Breakfast. Full day tour of Cape Town. Departure from your hotel at approximately 8:00 a.m. The tour begins with a visit to the famous Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. The garden encompasses five of South Africa's six distinct biomes and is world-renowned for the beauty and diversity of its Cape flora and its magnificent setting against the eastern slopes of Table Mountain. Next, continue to Table Mountain (weather permitting; cable car ticket not included). Enjoy panoramic views of the Mother City and the Atlantic Seaboard, with Robben Island resting sleepily in Table Bay harbor. After visiting Table Mountain, head to the city center. Walk through the Company Gardens, where you can admire squirrels and a variety of plants, creating a cheerful atmosphere to soak up some of the city's vibes. Visit the Slave Lodge, which explores the history of involuntary immigrants and their contribution to the richness and diversity of South Africa's history, creating an atmosphere that can be felt throughout the journey through the city. Giorno 4 — Città del Capo → Penisola del Capo → Città del Capo

Breakfast. Departure for Penisola del Capo. Cape Town is located on a spectacular mountainous peninsula that extends into the ocean. From the city, you can follow the Atlantic coast along the beaches and through luxurious residential suburbs such as Clifton Beach and Camps Bay. In Hout Bay, you can embark on a cruise to Seal Island, an island inhabited by hundreds of Cape fur seals and cormorants. Then, you can drive along Chapman's Peak Drive, which with its 114 curves in 9 km is one of the most spectacular coastal roads in the world (subject to closure in bad weather). You will arrive at Cape Point, the famous Cape of Good Hope, the extreme tip of the peninsula where the Atlantic Ocean and the Indian Ocean meet: the first land you encounter south of the Cape is Antarctica; you can take a cable car up. You will reach Simon's Town for a seafood lunch. Visit the nearby Boulders Beach to see the rare African penguins, which are at risk of extinction. If the weather permits, the last visit of the day will be to the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, on the eastern slopes of Table Mountain, which host thousands of endemic species of South Africa, the most famous of which is the protea, the country's national flower. Giorno 5 — Città del Capo → Hoedspruit → Phalaborwa

Early morning breakfast. Airport transfer with English-speaking driver. Flight to Hoedspruit. Welcome upon arrival and transfer to the hotel. MATIMBA BUSH LODGE is located less than 5 minutes from the entrance of Kruger NP in a natural area of the Hans Merensky Golf Course, overlooking the lake called Mala Mala. Numerous animals such as hippos, crocodiles, giraffes, antelopes, and many birds like the beautiful fish eagle are at home and give the structure a magical and relaxing atmosphere. Matimba Bush Lodge offers classy accommodation and is a perfect destination for those who want to try their hand at golf, as well as for those who want to explore Kruger and the surrounding areas, but also for those who want to spend some relaxing hours by the lake in the company of its inhabitants. Giorno 6 — Phalaborwa

Breakfast. Departure with your Italian-speaking guide for a visit to the local townships to learn about the various authentic aspects of community life. You will visit some families, schools, the Matimba Day Care center for the care and assistance of young children, and have lunch in a typical local establishment with local dancers. Giorno 7 — Phalaborwa

Breakfast. Departure for Panorama Route intera giornata con guida in italiano. Lunch along the way (not included). The Panorama Route itinerary winds from the rugged Drakensberg mountain range to Kruger National Park, passing through sites such as God's Window, Bourke's Luck Potholes, the Three Rondavels, the Mac Mac Falls, and the Blyde River Canyon: a succession of mountain streams, rolling hills, spectacular waterfalls, and imposing mountain gorges. The towns of Lydenberg and White River are located at the beginning of the Panorama Route. Other small towns include Sabie, Graskop, Orighstad, Hoedspruit, and Hazyview. The most famous is Pilgrim's Rest, a kind of living museum dedicated to the gold rush era. Blyde River Canyon is one of the largest in the world, stretching 20 km long and reaching depths of up to 700 m: God's Window is its most spectacular viewpoint. Other notable sites include Bourke's Luck Potholes, giant potholes carved over millions of years by the rotating movement of water; the Three Rondavels, rocky mesas with a shape reminiscent of African conical roof constructions; and the summit of Long Tom Pass, the mountain pass named after the cannon used by the Boers during the Anglo-Boer War. Along the way, you can stop at small art galleries and local craft shops. The Panorama Route also offers a wide choice of places to stop for a meal or a snack. Return to the lodge. Dinner. Giorno 8 — Phalaborwa

Breakfast. Departure with an Italian-speaking guide for the Kruger National Park, in a 4x4 safari vehicle, for a half-day safari in the vast park. Return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, a cruise on the Olifants River. During the excursion, in addition to the inevitable crocodiles and hippos, you will also be able to spot other animals that come to the river to drink: common sightings include herds of elephants, buffalo, giraffes, kudu, and impalas. Return to the lodge. Dinner. Accommodation Kaia Tani Guesthouse.

Honeymoon Special

Notes

LUGGAGE: includes handling of one medium-sized luggage (max 23 kg) per person. Due to limited space in vehicles, we cannot guarantee extra luggage.
ROOMS: triple rooms are not available. A standard room cannot fit three adults.
TRAVEL DOCUMENTS: Participants must ensure before departure that they have the necessary and valid documentation for entry into the countries visited during the tour.
MINIMUM AGE: At least 7 years, although we recommend a minimum of 10. Children from 6 to 12 years are allowed to join the safari at the rangers’ discretion.
SMOKING: smoking is not allowed on buses and in hotels.
HOTEL, CHECK-OUT: The room must be vacated in the morning, by the time indicated by the hotel; the surcharge for late check-out is equal to an extra night.

HOTEL / ITINERARY, CHANGES: The organizing company reserves the right to modify the itinerary and/or hotels with others of similar or higher category, means of transportation, etc., if required by unforeseen circumstances and necessary for the safety and normal continuation of the trip. Furthermore, when it is not possible to accommodate all participants in the same hotel, the group will be divided among different hotels of equal category.
TIPS: not included, but practically mandatory, unless there are serious shortcomings. It is recommended: €7 per day per person for the guide and ranger, €4-5 per day per person for the driver, tracker, and hotel staff, depending on satisfaction with the service received. Usually, the guide hands out three envelopes, one for themselves, one for the Park rangers, and one for the driver, to be personally given to them at the end of the tour.
MEALS: not included unless specified.
SAFARI: They take place on open off-road vehicles (such as Land Rover or Land Cruiser) capable of accommodating 6 to 9 passengers. Safaris are led by English-speaking rangers, sometimes assisted by experienced trackers who can identify animal tracks. The vehicles move along the tracks that cross private reserves, but also off-road to allow for better wildlife spotting.
PUNCTUALITY: we recommend respecting the scheduled times. No refunds are provided for services missed due to customer delays.
REFUNDS: There are no refunds for parts of the tour or excursions not carried out due to force majeure; in any case, no refund is due to the customer who decides to interrupt the trip or stay.
TRANSFER / VEHICLES: Transfers, excursions, and scheduled visits are done with air-conditioned vehicles, which vary depending on the number of participants. Approximately: 2-3 pax > medium-sized car; 4-7 pax > 7-seater vehicle; 8-13 pax > 15-seater minibus; 14+ pax > 19, 25, and 44-seater luxury coaches; during the open-air off-road safari, vehicles with 6-9 seats are used.
